Ingredients:
- 1 c full fat oat milk or other creamy non-dairy milk
- 1 T maple syrup or coconut sugar
- 1 c water
- 1 t cloves
- 1 t all spice
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 3 cardamom pods, crushed with butt of a knife or mortar and pestle
- 1 T ginger, minced
- 1 T fresh turmeric, minced or ½ t dried turmeric
- 2 bags English breakfast tea
- ½ inch piece vanilla bean pod (optional)
Directions:
Pour oat milk and water in a small saucepan. Add T of sugar, stir until dissolved. Add spices, ginger, turmeric and vanilla bean pod (optional). Heat on medium heat until the milk/water mixture boils. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add tea bags and steep for 3 mins. Remove tea bags. Strain spices and pour into mug. Enjoy!
